The show was a ticketed event with all money raised going towards BEHT, furthering education for underprivileged youth across India. In the words of the artiste: “I chose BEHT because I firmly believe that the best way for any individual or nation to progress is through the provision of quality education. We all know the saying ‘give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for life’. India is the largest democracy in the world but continues to be categorised as a third world country due to its extreme and rampant poverty. I wanted to raise money for a charity that aims to provide the underprivileged with the tools to arm – to feed – them for life. BEHT encompasses both the values and vision that I wanted to promote and was a natural fit. I sincerely hope that the performance not only helped to raise money but also awareness of the good work that BEHT is doing and to help further their cause. It was an absolute pleasure and honour to raise over £3500 for them, and I look forward to visiting the schools in India myself later this year. Thanks to BEHT for such fantastic work!”
